Become a Friend and help support this ancient Priory Church
(Reg. Charity No. 1063246)
The Friends of the Priory Church Christchurch was formed in 1964 by a small number of local church members. It has now grown to include many people from all around this country and the wider world who wish to maintain a link with this historic and beautiful church.
The Society was granted Charitable Status in 1997 and aims to assist in the repair, conservation and improvement of the fabric, to support activities to preserve and beautify the church and to make gifts to benefit it. The Friends of the Priory church are a group of people who care about the welfare and preservation of this iconic medieval building, its fellowship and its community. Anyone can become a Friend of the Priory church, donations of money raised from Friends’ subscriptions and donations are the Priory’s lifeblood for maintenance, repairs and upkeep. Since forming in 1964 we have given many donations great and small. At the present time we have earmarked over £100,000.00 to help essential repairs to the Tower clock and extensive restoration work for the Misericords in the Great Quire of the Priory. We also help support the local Christchurch Food Bank+ which does, of course, go to the very heart of our community.
You can become a friend and help us cherish this wonderful and ancient church by completing the form below and paying securely online, or by contacting The Membership Secretary, Friends of the Priory Church, The Parish Office, Quay Road, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 1BU, or by downloading and printing a copy of our membership leaflet and sending it with the appropriate membership fee to the Membership Secretary.
